Not organic. Made in China.

Before purchasing, asked if it was organic and was answered “yes” by Amazon’s AI. Received and it does not state organic anywhere. I was also looking for a product made in the USA, but when I received, the box says, MADE IN CHINA”. Probably better than mineral oil based products but be aware this product is not organic and is made in China.

Effective, clean, pleasant light lemon aroma.

I just did my first conditioning of my ziruma and other brand utensils (I highly recommend getting spoon spatulas for serving btw) and it was such a relaxing process. I did use a microfiber cloth due to its ease of application but you could probably get away with a thin cotton cloth. I just currently don’t have one yet. Per the instructions you should apply this to your utensils every month. The ingredients are clean and all my utensils looked brand new. I am very happy with this purchase.

dirty sticky packaging

The jar inside of the box is all dirty and sticky. The box was perfectly fine. Product smells good. I'm a little sketched out to use it due to the condition of the jar..

Worth the buy!

Easy to use, I did get a sponge applicator also from amazon and it was easy to apply, used it on my butcher block counter tops, put the wax at night and by morning it was completely dry and counters look great. I have a small kitchen, so I got the smaller sized wax, and I still have a lot leftover, I can probably get for 3-4 more uses for my counters and cutting boards.

Essential for wooden cutting board care

This product was so easy to use - once I finally got the lid off! It smells wonderful going on and works very well, without harsh ingredients. It gives new life to my more than 40 year old cutting board!

Great, natural product

When I first ordered this product it was with the hope that there weren't any other surprise ingredients in it. Fortunately, I later confirmed that there aren't any. If you want more info on the product, check out their website. Lots of good info. I've been using it for months now and it works great on boards and utensils. LOVE that it's non-toxic.

A good seal, no instructions.

I wish it had come with instructions, and I wish it didn't have any scent. But I love the finish and how waterproof it is. I put my cutting board in a warm oven (I turned it on for 2 minutes, the turned it off again) waited 15-ish minutes, applied the wax, then put it back in the oven for a while until it seemed to soak in. Applied a second coat, then let it cool completely. Once it was cool I buffed off the excess. Pretty straightforward process, but I had to look it up elsewhere. The results are fantastic. Water really beads up and rolls off. We'll see how it performs in a few months, but so far I love it. I've treated all my wooden kitchen tools, like my rolling pin and jam masher.

Does a nice job on butcher block

I like how it’s packaged, easy to store. Love the scent, fresh. It conditions without feeling greasy like others I’ve used. Makes the wood look nice and new

Works well

I only received this product today, so I can not speak to the long term use of this product yet. It seems to have coated my brand new wooden cutting board well. It looks great and seems water resistant now. I was concerned about the full ingredient list as it only says "made with linseed oil, beeswax and lemon oil", and does not have an actual ingredient list. However, I was able to speak with their customer service who confirmed that yes, it is only those three ingredients. A couple other cons are that I do not find the smell to be very appealing, not horrible, but not a smell I enjoy. Additionally, no instructions at all were included. I realize it's a pretty straightforward product, but specific instructions on how best to apply, and reapply would be very helpful. Overall, it seems to be what I was looking for...a natural way to seal my cutting board.

Wonderful results

We do historical reenactment and use wood plates, bowls, and cups which require food grade care products. This wood wax comes in a generous sized tin. Plenty to keep our dinnerware in great shape as wall as our cutting boards. It spreads smoothly, and the wood really drinks it up. The before/after pictures of my feastware show how well this wax works to bring back the beautiful finish and lessen the appearance of scratches.

I like It Except One Thing

First thing I noticed was there is no ingredient list or instructions on use. I do a lot of woodworking and have never seen a product that is supposed to be food safe without an official ingredient list. The front of the can does list bees wax, linseed oil and lemon oil. I rubbed it into three old wooden handle knives , let it sit a minute, and rubbed with a microfiber cloth and it did a great job on these dried out handles. I included pics before and after but they look better in person than the pics. Love the smell. I'll keep using the product but do hope they correct the packaging to add instructions, ingredient list as well as country of origin.

I purchased 3 cutting boards from Ziruma and the wax. Amazing product which i not only use on their cutting boards but also on other wood products such as dog dish holders, moveable kitchen islands, wood stands etc. Thank you Ziruma for creating such a great product that is food safe but also safe to use without gloves.

Why does my table smell like fish?

This stuff went on easily and the table looked beautiful, but the smell is atrocious! I applied it the night before, and the next day my eyes were watering and I was sneezing all over the place. Almost a week later, there is still a smell and I keep wondering why I smell fish. I tried cleaning it with orange spray and it dulled the shine but did nothing for the smell. I have company and it's embarrassing! What can I do?

Love it so far. Used a very light amount on a MCM piece i bought to see how the wood absorbed it. So far so good and it smells good too.

Beautiful shine, no chemical smell

Absolutely wonderful. I have a big red cedar hope chest and this made it look beautiful! I appreciate products that are chemical free and this was exactly as advertised, it also came in an adorable tin, very easy to open and use.
