Tasty coffee

Was a quick replacement for when the Keurig broke down. Very rich tasting coffee, easy to use.

High Quality, Durable, and Good Value

I'm very impressed with the usefulness and quality of workmanship of this product. After cracking two previous glass French presses simply from hand washing them in my sink, I bought this all-metal version and am quite pleased with it so far. It is easy to use, easy to clean (the screen and basket easily disassemble for washing, which I find I need to do every 3rd or 4th use), and the resulting coffee is excellent. It is also double-walled which means that if I end up making more than my usual coffee cup holds, the remaining contents will still be warm when I refill my cup. I have a 20 oz. cup for my morning coffee and this press has more than adequate capacity to fill the cup. Highly recommended.

Do Not Pay the High Price for this Product!

I chose this produce because of: 1) description of 4 filters; 2) higher quality of stainless steel material; 3) high review score. I was willing to pay the higher price. What I found that are not worth paying the price are: 1) the product did not include more mesh filters other than the ones in the 4 filter description. The fact is that the 4 versus 3 filter system is the addition of one more mesh filter. In other words, one can add one more mesh filter to the 3-filter system to achieve 4-filter system. Other similar products often include > 2 additional mesh filters for replacement. Therefore there is no additional advantage to the 4-filter system in essence which was something I was misled into; 2) the stainless steel material is different: it is lighter, but the double insulation space is thicker which meant the total capacity is smaller which is not something I would like to have; 3) the major problem is the black grease smudge on the rod of the plunge after each usage (see attached). I contacted seller about this and was told it was expected. The explanation were: a) The grease was there to help lubricate the contact between the rod and the hole in the cover; b) it will be unnoticeable after 2 times in the dish washer. I wash the product only manually. The picture depicts after 4 times of usage. I found the explanation was unsatisfactory to me. I made the decision to return the product. I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G2CCWGY?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1, at a much lower price instead. 4) The Utopia Kitchen 304 Grade Stainless Steel French Press 34 Oz, Silver, is much better: a) the contact between the rod and the whole in the cover is smoother and there is no visible smudge; the insolation layer is thinner, which means the total volume is slightly bigger, b) it provides 3 additional mesh filters which means you can use it as 4-filter system as you wish; c) there is no difference in the quality of the brewed coffee using the same parameters (course coffee, steep time, the rate of pressing). Conclusion: there is no reason to pay the high price for this product which is of defective quality.

So smooth!

I think it looks great on my tea cart!! Beautiful stainless steel. No signs of rusting. We’ve had it for close to a month now. Makes GREAT coffee. My husband really enjoys it. I was nervous about the filter because it seemed like a tight fit, but as you can see in the video the plunger goes down pretty easily now and we’ve never had a problem with grounds in our coffee. It pours aesthetically, too. I’m super picky about my kitchen appliances, and I had very low expectations because of the price. My husband and I agreed I’d find one less than $50 lol. It performs much better than I’d anticipated. I would definitely go for it if you’re an eco-conscious, microplastic-wary kind of person like me.

FIRST use of ziruma french press

This is a great, clean French press with no plastic parts at all. The filter mesh is excellent, and the brew comes out very clean with minimal sediment. Quality: Good but not superb. There is visible welding on the handle (see attached picture). I was expecting it to feel heavier overall — especially the lid, which weighs only about 180g (6.3 oz). Thicker walls would make the pot heavier and give it a more premium feel. The lid could really use a lock or twist mechanism to hold it securely in place. With this one, you have to hold the lid down when pouring out the last bits. All in all, it’s a solid French press that works well for daily coffee use.

Ease of use

Very easy to use and clean. Coffee is delicious. No grinds in my cup. Really love my new coffee pot. I even leave it on the counter. Very pretty to look at.

Broke after 5 months

Broke after five months of use. My old one lasted years but this one lasted five months and the filter screw broke apart and it’s not unusable.

Worth every dollar

Not sure I've ever left a 5-star review but this French press earned it. No plastic - not in the press, packaging, none. The thing is SOLID. Even the coffee scoop is stainless steel. Maybe my fault but I've broken multiple glass French presses and this is exactly what I want - durable, solid and (hopefully) not easy to break! Buying a 2nd for my van, where broken glass isn't fun. Shown in photo with 5-cup glass press, hand for scale.

Easy to Use, Non‑Toxic, and the Flavor Is Next‑Level

This coffee press is incredibly easy to use. I grind my beans coarse, about the size of peppercorns, and brew with reverse osmosis water. The aroma and flavor are excellent — noticeably smoother and cleaner than anything I ever got from my previous Keurig. The taste is pure, rich, and free of any plastic or chemical notes. I also appreciate that the entire setup is non‑toxic. This press has genuinely upgraded my morning coffee.

Waste of money. Faulty product.

I regret buying this French press. The moment you try to push the plunger down, coffee sprays everywhere—counter, hands, clothes… it’s a mess. Look at the mess this thing makes. The filter doesn’t work properly at all, so you end up with grounds in your coffee, and to make things worse, the plunger constantly gets stuck halfway down. It’s marketed like some premium, next-level stainless steel press, but the performance is terrible. Looks nice, works horribly. I do not recommend this item. Do not buy it. Do not waste your money on it—even though it’s been promoted on their website as if it’s something special. It’s not. It just makes a huge mess.

Good Purchase, I would recommend to a friend

This is my first French Press. I was looking for a coffee maker that has less plastic after my automatic drip coffee maker broke. The coffee tastes good. It's easy to clean. My concern is that the metal is starting to fray and stick out on the interior holes. Eventually the little pieces of metal will fall off from the friction when the main stem goes up and down. The exterior of the metal screens is smooth. When the bottom plate, the middle screen, and the top plate with the hole is assembled, the interior holes are completely encased so no concerns with any metal falling into the coffee. I clean the metal mesh screens with a little brush because the sponge gets caught on the metal.

Product makes good coffee

Product works well, but measuring lines on the inside for the smaller volumes are difficult to see.

Showed up dirty.

Showed up dirty… like it had already been used. Even had coffee grounds inside of it. I even selected the “buy new” option before purchasing

Bent filter attachment

The press is a great quality, except the bottom piece of the filter. It was very bent and did not properly filter the coffee because grinds kept getting caught in the gap of the bend. I called the customer service number provided for the product to see if that piece could be replaced. I was told to leave a message and no one returned my call. I decided to just return this press to Amazon and order another. The second one was also bent, but not as badly. The stainless coffee carafe was a great quality, but the actual press is not the best.

Greasy crud fest

Seemed nice upon early inspection but for some reason the item I received had a fair amount of dark greasy crud all up in and around it. Started by cleaning the lid where the long piece slides through… found a little grease(?) and then decided to check it with a qtip. qtip pictured. So does this grease slide down the center post and into your coffee? Ask the grease cuz I do not know. Maybe black grease is food safe? Willing to add a star if this turns out to be the case. Also found a bunch of hardy black gunk around the lip of the lid. I was cleaning it off but then had a moment of clarity that this shouldn’t be something I’m doing to use this item. It didn’t want to come off easy so I’m just sending this back.

Not designed to heat on the stove but does the job

Great little French press exactly as designed. I use mine for steeping fresh herbs for tea. We only complaint that I have is that why won't someone make one that is designed to be heated on the stove. Who wants to heat water up in a separate pot and then pour it into something to let it sit for 15 minutes?? I'm not the designer and it is exactly as advertised. I will say it's easy to clean and all the screen mesh comes apart for quick rinsing. The capacity is great. I get three very large cups of tea out of this. Comes complete. Easy to use and frankly I have put mine on the stove top and heated it many times. I would just be careful touching the handle directly after heating
